Just an Idea #1

Stardoll is really great about staying on top of new ideas and updating their site. But every now and then we can all think of something that would make the site even better. I've decided to do a series of posts called "Just an Idea" where I'll post some of my ideas.

Wouldn't it be great if we could buy each-other's doll's as Pals? There would be rules of

course. The doll must be your friend, and I imagine it would start off as a level 12 Superstar only feature. But say that you pay 20sd a doll. If someone buys your doll you get a certain amount of commission (like 6sd).

These dolls would also be sell-able in the bazaar about four months after purchase (dolls are often updated) The doll would be delivered to your suite wearing only Underneath Stardoll garments so that you could dress her/him in your own clothes. There could even be a Best Pal award you could achieve by having more than 20 friends purchase your doll.

It wouldn't make the Pal store go away. Those are still cool too especially since most of them look like celebrities. We might even get to see special Pal incorporated designs in the Strike a Pose store.

Downsides...

Some people may not want their dolls to be purchased. Maybe there should be an opt-out of Pals mode. Also there may be some people that place the Pal doll over their own doll to try and win Covergirl and other competitions. This should be reportable and result in the loss of the Pal doll.

So what do you think? Good idea or bad? Anything else you would add?
