Let's be honest. Callie's Picks has been pretty controversial since it released six years ago in 2013 (YES it's been SIX freakin' years dolls!) We all have mixed feelings about Callie's Picks and no one really seems to consider it a "Name Brand". I'm sure you all read my post on Callie's Picks but lately it seems Callie's Picks is stepping away from re-releasing items and heading into new territory.
The past four Callie's Picks have been "Dress Up dolls" (not that we all aren't) and It's got me pretty excited :) So far we have seen author Beatrix Potter, mathematician Ada (Lady) Lovelace, Designer Coco Chanel, and this week's release scientist Marie Curie. All of these are Iconic women who helped shape the world we live in today. The fact that we get to collect our favorite female role models and their wardrobes is ICONIC.
Now I'm sure we all have our mental lists of people we'd like to see next, and since this is my blog I figure I get to share MY list. Er um *unrolls long script*
Frida Kahlo (YES QUEEN PLEASE!)
Aung San Suu Kyi
Cleopatra
Laura Ingalls
Sacagawea
Gaia (if mythological heroins count)
Yemaya
Rosa Parks
We can assume whoever it is will already be in the Mini Games Dress Up section. Also I know that Stardoll is UK based but it would be nice if some new Dress Up dollies were created for people of color. I know they don't really create new Dressups anymore but you guys are even missing Meghan Markle (de Sussex) in your royalty collection and there isn't a single black or Hispanic female athlete, inventor or scientist. Can we change that somehow please?
Who do you guys want to see in the future Callie's Picks? Anyone not a stardoll you wish could be?
