How to get the most out of your Broadcast

Okay okay, so broadcasting isn't that difficult sure sure I know. But you may be thinking about how thousands of broadcasts are sent every day on Stardoll, and so many dolls have used them to win NCG and other daily contests, so why can't you? Let's be honest here, we can't all afford to send out dozens of broadcasts a day so how can you make the most out of the few you do send?

There really isn't a perfect way to Broadcast but there are a few tips and guidelines you can follow to make sure you aren't wasting your SD's and are getting the traffic you desire. I asked a couple of my fellow stardoll mates what their broadcasting tricks are and added in a few of my own.

1) Wear a 🔥🔥🔥 Wig. Having a bright or amazing looking wig on when you broadcast is going to attract more people to you. Some dolls may even click just to see where you got that 🔥🔥🔥 wig from.

2) Pay attention to the Broadcasting traffic. Too much traffic and your broadcast can get buried in the jam, too little traffic means not many people are on Stardoll at the moment. You start to get a feel for the right amount of traffic it after a while.

3) Properly Advertise. ErR UuM! This is KEY. Do not advertise a $2sd sale when all the items in your bazaar are $100sd+! You are attracting the wrong kind of traffic. People who are expecting to pay $2 for a few grab garments are only going to storm away irritated when they see you have $220sd Young Hollywood pieces instead. If you want to advertise to the collectors call out to them with "Collectors Sale" or "Rare Collectors Discount".

3) Spread Them out. Many dolls send out their broadcasts all at once. If you are trying to win CG or another contest this may not be the best thing to do. Likely the dolls who are voting or running at the moment will have already seen one of your broadcast and voted for you. It's best to Instead make a goal to send out a few every hour or so and make a point to visit and vote for all the other dolls voting and as many dolls voting for them. This will save you Sd's and I've won NCG several times with this method (even by mistake)

4) Double advertising is OKAY! That's right you can advertise a bazaar sale and that you are running for Best Album at the same time! Many people will visit both.

6) Be meek but confident. You don't need to tell everyone the sob story that you have been on Stardoll for 100 YEARS AND NEVER WON ANYTHING! The truth is most of us haven't won anything. And those that have spent a lot of $$$ and Time and effort into winning things. That doesn't mean you should give up. Plenty of non members win things EVERY DAY! Instead stay confident and advertise that you are running again and need votes to win. We Stardolls love a doll with fire and confidence.

7) Sometimes Less is more. Especially if the Broadcast bar is super active. Sometimes posting a single word in bold "COVERGIRL" or "BAZAAR" brings a lot of attention. People see your broadcast and aren't overwhelmed with "Bazaar sale Bazaar sale Bazaar sale hurry!!!" Though using words like "HURRY" "CLEANING" "LIMITED" and "GOODBYE" will put an urgency into your broadcast.

8) If you live in a country that doesn't speak English primarily you may have the option to broadcast in your local language. However your broadcast will only be seen by other Stardoll members in your country. Instead make your broadcast in English so the whole world (or people on your server or however this works) can see your broadcast. You may have to research a few words but it's worth it.

9) Okay so this is easy and most people know this but some newer dollies may not. After your drag and drop (or double click) the selected words or phrases to the broadcasting bar you can double click them to capitalize the first letter. If you double click again you can capitalize the whole word!

10) Make sure if you select the right link to your broadcast. Sometimes we forget but some people get frustrated if you advertise a Bazaar sale and we get brought to your suite with nothing in it for sale. Also take advantage of the themes, and choose one that matches your broadcast. Sometimes people don't even read the broadcast they just look at your photo and the broadcast theme.
